f.w. SYS Kwangsi surch Silver Yuan 5c in block of 9 on reverse, tied by Nanning bilingual cds., along with Taipei arrival cds. This cover was paying domestic double-registered airmail rate. As PLA already controlled Kwangtung and Kwangsi in early Dec 1949, Nanning and Canton airport were no longer operational. This cover was probably forwarded to Hong Kong and finally arrived at Taiwan by ship because the KMT aviation companies surrended to CCP. Nanning was liberated on 4 Dec 1949, It also reflected that Nanning PO was still operational just before liberation. Ex Mr. Patrick Choy's Collection.

This type of ovpt. issue was produced between 21 Jun and 7 Jul 1949 by West Szechuan PO in order to restrict the speculation due to hyper-inflation, however its usage was soon terminated in Jul. This cover, on the other hand, was sent 7 days after liberation of Tseliutsing on 5 Dec 1949. Extraordinary item of this ovpt. issues. Only existing usage example after liberation.
