f.w.SYS Silver Yuan 4c and bisected SYS Fukien surch Silver Yuan 2c, tied by Fukien Kintsing cds., along with Foochow arrival.
On 1 AUG 1949, the postage of Domestic Ordinary Mail was 5c. There was sufficient supply of 4c stamp in Kintsing PO while 5c and 1c stamp were running short. SYS Fukien surch Silver Yuan 2c stamps were bisected and used as 1c along with SYS Silver Yuan 4c. This combination of franking was in use for only four days.
