f.w. Hwa Nan Print SYS Silver Yuan 1c and 10c, tied by Canton bilingual cds. On reverse with Tsungkow transit and Swatow arrival marks. The postage of this cover was insufficient for airmail rate (15c), plus there was no airmail already at Canton. Therefore, this cover was delivered as express mail via Tsungkow to Swatow. Tsungkow turned to a forwarding hub during Aug to Oct 1949 due to chaos in Kwangtung during the civil war. Ex Mr. Patrick Choy's Collection.
