This type of ovpt. issue was produced between 21 Jun and 7 Jul 1949 by West Szechuan PO in order to restrict the speculation due to hyper-inflation, however its usage was soon terminated in Jul. This cover, on the other hand, was sent 7 days after liberation of Tseliutsing on 5 Dec 1949. Extraordinary item of this ovpt. issues. Only existing usage example after liberation. f.w. Revenue issue surch Silver Yuan 4c and SYS Kwantung surch Silver Yuan 1c on reverse, tied by Amoy bilingual cds., along with Hangchow arrival cds. On front bearing a T mark. Rare usage example of Kwangtung Silver Yuan issue in Fukien, especially after liberation, only 3-4 known. Although Fukien PO allowed the delivery of this silver yuan mail, it arrived at Hangchow in May 1949 which was already eight months after the liberation of Hangchow. Excellent taxed example. Although this cover was paying airmail rate, as the planes and faciliies in Nanning Airport already retreated, this cover could only be deliered via express mail. Ex Mr. Patrick Choy's Collection.

f.w. SYS ovpt. Tseliutsing on East Szechuan Silver Yuan 5c x 10 and SYS West Szechuan surch Domestic Ordinary Unit Stamp x 2 on reverse, tied by Szechuan Tseliutsing cds., along with Chungking transit and Shanghai arrival. Chengtu and the nearby PO overprinted the Szechuan Silver Yuan issues with place of the issuance to prevent communists from getting these stamps at that time. But with the liberation of Chengtu on 27 Dec, the issuance of this type of ovpt. stamps were terminated. Probably a dropped stamp of 5c on the cover when considering the 120c postage of express double-registered mail. Chinese characters "airmail" was noted but airmail was impossible by that time as Chungking airport was already closed on 28 NOV 1949. Ex Mr. Patrick Choy's Collection.
