showing side-by-side portraits of Yuan Shih-kai and his son within a decorative illustrated frame. Reverse with early German–French bilingual “Postkarte – Weltpostverein / Carte postale – Union postale universelle” format and a manuscript French message. A scarce foreign-issued postcard produced during Yuan’s tenure as Viceroy of Zhili.

With contemporary manuscript note on reverse, “Entrance to Imperial City on the right.” Scarce historical postcard documenting the state funeral of Yuan Shikai.

A finely produced early Republican-era portrait postcard of the future President of the Republic of China, showing strong period character.
black-and-white printed portrait captioned “General Li Yung Hung, Commander in Chief of the Rebel forces / 黎元洪總都督”, depicting Li Yuanhong in military attire holding a sword. Reverse with “Carte Postale” . Scarce.

comprising (1) General Chang Piao 1911 miscaptioned picture postcard depicting Li Yuan-hung standing full-length in military uniform with sword; and (2) a hand-colored portrait postcard showing Li in naval attire with cap and sword. Both unused, minor toning and faint soiling on reverse. Early portrayals of the future President of the Republic of China, an important military and political figure of the Wuchang Uprising. Fine. Rare.

depicting Feng Guozhang (馮國璋) in military uniform with medals, printed in monochrome with caption “FONG KUO CHANG” at lower margin. An early Republican-era portrait postcard of the prominent Beiyang warlord and acting president of the Republic, finely produced and rich in period character.
depicting portraits of Presidents Feng Guozhang and Xu Shichang, respectively inscribed “In memory of President Feng Guozhang at the end of his term” (大總統馮國璋任滿去思) and “Celebrating the inauguration of President Xu Shichang” (大總統徐世昌就職誌慶). Each bears a 1c Junk issue stamp tied by Peking commemorative cancellation dated the 7th year of the Republic (1918), with top inscriptions reading “Commemorative cancellation – please keep properly.” Printed in reddish-brown tone on card stock, backs with green imprint “Specially produced by the Railway Association Headquarters for the Double Tenth Festival, 7th Year of the Republic.” Slight toning and mounting marks, otherwise fine and well-preserved.
