1888 (Nov 25) Wuhu to Kyoto, Japan Small Dragon combination cover,

mixed franking with Small Dragon 3Cd pair and Japan Koban 5s, tied by red Customs Wuhu cds. and type IV Shanghai IJPO cds. respectively, cover also bearing Customs Shanghai, Kobe transit and Kyoto arrival cds. This is the only known type IV Shanghai IJPO cds. combination Small Dragon cover. The 3Cd pair are bright mauve colour, neither mint nor used in the same colour has ever been found. A 3Cd used stamp with normal colour attached for comparision. Mizuhara "Huayou Jijin II" vol. 3, p.70.
