on reverse bearing an oval PASSED BY CENSOR #201 marking in red. Rare as most of these markings are in blue or black colour. VF-F.
f.w. Victory Issues set, tied by "RAF POST HONG KONG" cds. Message indicates sender used a uninformed friend to post it, as use was restricted to Forces only. Harmless tape stain lower left, otherwise well-kept and very fine, one of the few examples known of use of this scarce mark on postage (see Webb, p. 164, 201).

1948 (Sep 3) a typhoon hit Hong Kong and P.O. employees living in Kowloon were unable to cross the harbour to their offices. The P.M.G. authorized the use of three Postage Paid hand stamps, never previously used. Rare.
