1860 (Sep) mourning cover from Gulf of Pechili to England,

sent "via Marseilles" by a British seaman, f.w. QV 1p x 8, tied by barred A88 obliterator. Rare mail sent after the take over of Pehtang and Taku Fort on 26 Jul 1860 by the allied force. Chinese mails with adhesive cancelled by P&O cancellation are elusive. With certificate of Royal Philatelic Society.
