sent "via Marseilles", f.w. QV 2p and 6p, tied by barred 959 obliterator and Clifton cds. On reverse with Hong Kong (Jul 6) transit. Scarce early 8p officer concession rate example. On 26 Jul, the Anglo-French allied fleet headed to Taku Fort including the ship of Leutenant Geoffrey Mairis.
