1949 (Aug 19) Chinese style cover from Foochow registered to Peiping, f.w. Domestic Ordinary Mail Unit Stamp machine ovpt. "Foochow" x 4 on reverse (one damaged), tied by Foochow bilingual cds., along with Peiping arrival cds. On front with Shanghai transit cds. This Foochow ovpt. issues were produced because the exchange rate of Gold and Silver Yuan in Foochow was so different from the rest of the country, so that flipping had to be prevented.
