1949 (Oct 25) Chinese style cover from Canton to Hong Kong, f.w. Domestic Ordinary Mail Unit Silver Yuan Stamp on reverse, tied by Canton (liberated on Oct 14) bilingual cds. Between 15 and 31 Oct 1949, a few PO in Canton sold domestic ordinary mail unit stamp at the price of silver yuan 5c or RMB $100 which is exactly the same rate to Hong Kong.
