1941 (Oct 24) Kiangsi Hokow to USA cover, detained in and returned from Hong Kong with rare "Hostilities" label on reverse,

Canton and Chungking transit cds. applied on label. This label is type 1, which shows error in spelling of word "Throug". Extremely rare, less than 6 covers recorded. On front side also bearing violet Tihwa transit cds., showing that the cover finally went out China through Tacheng, Sinkiang. A very nice cover showing the very difficult postal route during Japanese occupation of China. VF-F.
