f.w. HK QV 30c mauve showing the variety broken "G KON", which is the major variety on a stamp before 1912, is found on all printings of Plate 1, south-east pane, position 53. The only recorded example of this variety on cover.
bearing QV 6c x 3 (two with wing margin), tied by S1 obliterator, showing 9x printed matter rate franking. Rare. VF-F.

bearing QV 2c (wing margin) & 8c, tied by clear S2 obliterator, along with Swatow cds., on reverse with Hong Kong transit and Rugby arrival cds. This is the earliest decimal currency S2 cover, using 1863-79 issues instead of the new decimal surch. Issue. Only 3 covers in record posted to Hong Kong. Extremely rare, eapecially in such nice condition. B.P.A. certificate attached.
