mixed franking with Inida 3 Pies, carried via Yatung and processed through the Indian Field Post Office route to Calcutta, with arrival postmark. The card was sent by the Director of the Tibetan Ganzi Postal Bureau to the renowned Swiss watch company West End & Co. in Calcutta. The message discusses the maintenance of clocks on the railway platform. This is the only recorded example of a Imperial 4th postal card sent from Tibet to a foreign destination. Most known examples from Tibet were mailed domestically, primarily from Shigatse. Foreign-destination cards from Tibet are exceedingly rare.
