via Siberia, with an additional 3 cents Hsuan Tung commemorative stamp. It was cancelled with two bilingual small circle Wanhsien cds and also cancelled with a Hankow transit cds and a Peking transit cds. The postal card was then transferred to the Peking French P.O. for delivery to England. The card is well preserved.
via Siberia to Germany. A 3-cent Hsuan Tung commemorative stamp was attached, with 2 KIRIN (Bing) English-Chinese half-cut circle lunar cds (Jiyou winter-month, the first day). There is also a Harbin bilingual lunar year cds as transit datestamp.
the first card was posted from Shanghai to France on 16 Feb 1912, with a 3-cent dragon stamp attached, cancelled by Shanghai English and Chinese waist-frame lunar year cds, transferred to Shanghai French P.O. and then sent via Siberia line, the card measures 91.5x138.5mm. The second card was sent from Tientsin to Netherland on 14 May 1912, with a 3-cent dragon stamp overprinted in Song font "Republic of China" attached, cancelled by Tientsin Chinese and English bilingual cds, Tientsin French Post Office small round postmark (May 14), with postman-related numbers "23" "F28", the card size measures 92x138mm. The third card was sent from Hankow to Rome, Italy on 12 Apr 1913, with a 3-cent dragon stamp overprinted in regular script "Republic of China" attached, cancelled by Hankow Chinese and English bilingual cds with a transit postmark from Naples and arrival postmark from Rome, plus a postman oval mark of "142". The card size measures 90.5x139.5mm.
the first card was sent from Kaifeng, Honan to Japan on 6 Oct 1909, with a 1/2-cent coiling dragon stamp attached, bearing a "No.5 Mailbox" small round postmark and postman mark "Chinese character "2"", cancelled by 3 Kaifeng (Ren) English and Chinese bilingual circle lunar year cds (Jiyou, lunar 8th month, 23trd day), transferred via Shanghai, via Shanghai I.J.P.O. to Nagoya, Japan, the card size measures at 91.5x138mm. The second stationery card was also sent from Kaifeng, Honan to Japan on 19 Nov 1909, with a 1/2-cent coiling dragon stamp attached, bearing a blurred "No.5 Mailbox" small round postmark and postman mark "Chiinese character "3"", cancelled by 3 Kaifeng (Ren) English and Chinese bilingual waist-frame circle lunar year cds (Jiyou, 7th lunar month, and 7th day), transferred via Hankow, Shanghai, via Shanghai I.J.P.O. to Nagoya, Japan, the card size measures at 93x139mm.
the first stationery card dated 22 Jul 1908, has a photo landscape glued on the back, sent from Kuling, Kiangsi to Berlin, Germany, with one 1-cent dragon stamp and one 2-cent coiling dragon stamp attached, cancelled by Kuling English and Chinese bilingual waist-frame circle lunar year cds (Wushen, lunar 6th month, 24th day), transferred to Shanghai for export to Germany with a Kiukiang transit cds and a Shanghai Germany P.O. transit cds. This card is particularly short, measuring 85x138mm. The second card was sent from Renhua, Canton to Germany on 24 Aug 1908, with one 1-cent coiling dragon stamp and one 2-cent coiling dragon stamp attached, cancelled by 3 Renhua Canton 3-grid lunar cds (24 Aug 1908), another Shauchow 3-grid lunar cds (25 Aug 1908), and a Canton Chinese and English bilingual semi-round cds, the back of the card bears a Victor-Hong Kong transit cds, the card measures at 91x136mm.
The third stationery card was sent from Foochow, Fuchien to Berlin, Germany on 23 Nov 1908, with one 1-cent dragon stamp and one 2-cent dragon stamp attached, cancelled by 2 FUNINGFU English and Chinese waist-frame circle circle lunar year cds (Wushen, lunar 10th month, 30th day), transferred via Santuao, Pagodaanch, then exported from Shanghai, the card size measures 92x138mm.
the first card dated 12 May 1910 sent from Wusih to Soochow on 12 May 1910, cancelled with a Wusih English-Chinese waist-frame circle lunar year cdsl (Gengxu lunar 4th month, 4th day), and there are two Soochow arrival cds including a regular Chinese-English circular cds and a relatively rare English-Chinese waist-frame circle lunar year cds with year-month-day read from left to right instead of the normal from right to left side. The back of the card has a red "Wusih / No. 3" mailbox tombstone, and the card size is 91.5x136.5mm. The second card was sent from Weikiao, Anhuei Province to Shehsian on 3 Dec 1910, cancelled with a circular mark of "Anhuei / Weikiao / Postal Agency", and then cancelled with a Tunki waist-frame waist-frame circle cds and Hweichow (Yi) waist-frame lunar year cds. The card size is 92x137mm. The third stationery card dated 9 Dec 1910 sent from Taiyuanfu to Hotsin-hsian, cancelled with Taiyuanfu (Jia) English-Chinese bilingual lunar year cds (Gengxu, lunar 11th month, the 8th day), with a square "Mailbox Mail" postmark, and also cancelled by Shansi three-grid lunar cds (Gengxu lunar 11th month, the 11th day), Kiangchow bilingual waist-frame lunar year transit cds (lunar 11th month, 12th day), Shansi Hotsin full Chinese waist-frame lunar year cds (lunar 11th month, 14th day). The card size is 90.5x137mm. This is a good lot having three stationery cards with mailbox postmarks and from small places in China.
the first card dated 31 Aug 1909 is the reply part of the Qing Dynasty fourth double card, sent from Lu'an, Shansi to Netherland on 31 Aug, 1909, with an additional coiling dragon 1-cent stamp and a coiling dragon 2-cent stamp, cancelled with 4 Shansi Lu'an three-grid lunar year cds, and also cancelled with Chihli Shunteh lunar year transit cds, a half-cut small round seal of Peking, and a Dutch arrival cds. The card size is 92.5x140mm. The second one is the reply portion of the Qing Dynasty 4th double card, sent to Nanning on 9 Feb 1911, with a 3-cent stamp of the coiling dragon, the position of the card postage symbol is cancelled with LONDON WC 1911 FEB 9, and also cancelled with a Shanghai Chinese-English bilingual circle cds (17 Jan), Canton half-cut circled cds (4 Mar), Wuchow half-cut circle cds (6 Mar). The card size is 90x138mm.
including double cards of different sizes, including widths ranging from 134-143mm, heights ranging from 134-184mm, different sizes of T-lines, and slight variations in the characters "信" and "政". Required detailed examination.
1908 (Sep) - 1910 (Dec), a group of two C.I.P. 4th stationery cards, with the one of reply portion of double card sent from Shanghai to Belgium, and the second one is a complete double card sent from Tientsin to Germany,
the first card was sent from Newchwang to Austria on 5 Apr 1909, affixed with a one-cent coiling dragon stamp and a two-cent coiling dragon stamp, cancelled with three Newchwang bilingual segmented circular date stamps (7 April), and another Moukden transit stamp (8 Apr 09), arriving in Austria on 24 April. The second card was sent to the German Association in Shanghai, with printed text content, cancelled with a Shanghai English-Chinese waist frame stamp, bearing a postman's mark. Both postal cards are in size of 140.5x181mm, very well preserved.
via Siberia. It was affixed with a 1-cent, a 3-cent, a 5-cent, and a 7-cent Coiling Dragon stamp, cancelled by five Shanghai English-Chinese semi-cut round postmarks (October 19, 1910). It bears the Shanghai registered mark "R / SHANGHAI / No.2798", and the arrival mark of Vienna, Austria (November 5). The total postage of 17 cents, overpaid by 3 cents to normal registered postal card rate. The postal card is well preserved.
mixed franking by Hong Kong QV 4c, bearing at corner Chinkiang Customs cds. QV stamp tied by Shanghai Br. PO cds., along with Shanghai Dollar cds., Hong Kong transit and Austria arrival. VF-F.
