1899 (Jun 15) Imperial 1st postal card from Chingchow to Hankow, via Kiaochow and Shanghai,

tied by oval Chingchow PO cancel, along with Weihsien (Jun 16), Kiaochow (Jun 28), Shanghai (4 Jul) transit marks and Hankow (Jul 5) arrival cds. It is the earliest recorded item involving CIP in Tsingtau. The official commencement date was 01 July 1899, same as the date of Custom Kiaochow.
