f.w. SYS Silver Yuan stamps ovpt. Peipei Chang stamps x 4, tied by East Szechuan with Fair Field, U.S.A. arrival cds. The Peipei Chang overprint is rare, and the 25-cent rate for domestic airmail combined with international surface mail is exceptionally scarce.
f.w. SYS Silver Yuan ovpt. Ilung stamps x 2 and SYS Silver Yuan x 2, totally 28c Silver Yuan, matching domestic registered postage, tied by East Szechuan Ilung cds. The cover arrived in Chungking on (Aug 6), but was redirected to Canton on (Aug 8) due to a misunderstanding by the post office, which believed the Supreme Court had relocated to Canton. After reaching Canton, the letter was returned to Chungking on (Sep 20) and forwarded to Shapingpa on (Sep 22). This cover illustrates the postal confusion caused by the ongoing relocation of Nationalist government institutions during the final phase of the Chinese Civil War.
f.w. SYS Silver Yuan 4c x 1, tied by Canton cds. 1949 (Aug 1) was the first day of a postage rate increase (from 4¢ to 5¢), but this cover was still accepted and dispatched by the post office despite the insufficient franking.

f.w. Huanan SYS Silver Yuan 1c x 1 and SYS Kuanghsi Surch. 5c x 2, totally 11c Silver Yuan, matching Kuanghsi domestic airmail special postage, tied by Liuchow cds., along with Canton arrival cds. According to Mr. Lee Saikei who was a Silver Yuan specialist, from May to July 1949, there was a difference in the Silver Yuan rate between Kwangsi and the other areas. In other areas the surface rate was mostly 4c, in Kwangsi, the special rate was Silver Yuan 5c, hence this cover carried a domestic air mail rate of 11c. Rare.
