Szechuan Jiangbei District Court official cover, this Chungking local cover was sent on 1949 (Nov 29), stranded in the post office during the day of liberation: the (Dec 1) post mark indicates that it was handled on the day after liberation and was eventually delivered to Shapingpa (Dec 2). The cover witnessed the last Day of Nationalist rule in Chungking.
