This cover was first sent to Hong Kong by ship, then to Cairo and Brindisi by airmail and finally arriving at Denmark by Italian railway. The train trip had taken 23 days because the German Army had invaded Denmark on Apr 9th, 1940.

However, this route was also not availalbe after the outbreak of Pacific War in Dec 1941. Therefore, examples of this short-lived route are rare.
