sent "via Marseilles" and rated "10" and "1/-", bearing Crowned "PAID AT HONG KONG" handstamp, Hong Kong (Aug 5), Marseilles (Sep 30) transit and Paris (Sep 30) arrival. An early letter from Shanghai to France after the Treaty of Whampoo in 1844.
