1949年12月7日中式銀圓封自西川竹根灘經重慶寄上海，貼東川銀元5分一枚，符合國內平信郵資，銷西川竹根灘日戳，旁蓋重慶中轉，正面有上海到達戳。竹根灘是郵櫃等級的郵局，這可佐證「三保留」策略在最低層的郵局也成功運行。竹根灘於11月11日已解放，此乃解放後沿用銀圓票的例子。 f.w. Chukentan was an Agency Office (Class 2C) - again a proof of the success of the "tri-preservation" policy at the agency level. Chukentan was liberated on Nov 11.
