20 Oct 1897, a good use of French ovpt stationery card with Port Arthur as the place of origin, sent to Denmark via Tientsin where the card was handled firstly before the opening of postal office in Weihaiwei.
1897年10月20日法國10分加蓋「CHINE」郵資片，從威海衞 Port Arthur寄北歐丹麥，銷黑色天津大圓戳，藍色上海大圓戳，郵資標記位置銷上海法國客郵局日戳，另蓋丹麥到述達印。 Port Arthur 威海衞1897年尚未能成立郵政局處理郵政事務， 故趕緊在冬季結冰之前從威海衞先運至天津，再南下上海出發國際線。
