1898 (Dec 31) an early picture postcard from Western Point to Switzerland, f.w. QV 4c, tied by very rare Type A W.B. index C cds. (so called "Large W.B."), along with Basel arrival cds., on reverse bearing a French Paquebot cds. Type A W.B. cds is the 1st postmark adopted in Western Branch PO, it is extremely rare, only 3 covers and 2 postal cards with this cds. used to canceled stamps. VF-F.
