1900年10至11月一組三枚風景明信片由德軍海軍第三營高密分隊士兵自膠州寄德國，均鈐膠州德國客郵局日戳，旁蓋德國到達戳。在1900年9月，數百高密民眾在南流阻建鐵路。德軍抵達現場並開火。義和團反擊並導致50名德軍傷亡。
