1839年4月29日印度加爾各答寄廣州封，寄件人為印度總督第一代奧克蘭伯爵喬治·伊登，由東印度公司Auckland號送遞，鈐帶框加爾各答郵政總局始發日戳。中國近現代史，起源於第一次鴉片戰爭與中英之間的貿易紛爭，東印度公司在這段歷史中，扮演著不可或缺的重要角色。
