Depicting (from left to right) Marshal Chang Hsueh-liang, Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek, and General Feng Yu-hsiang in Nanking, this photo was taken after the National China Congress urged unity against Japan in Manchuria, symbolizing the brief alliance of China’s three key leaders before renewed divisions.
one showing Chiang Kai Shek greeting the newly appointed Philippine envoy to China, marking the strengthening of Sino-Philippine relations during World War II. The other captures Lord Louis Mountbatten, the newly appointed Allied Commander in the Southeast Asia Theatre, shaking hands with General Ho Ying Chin, China's Minister of War and Chief of Staff. The meeting took place at the Military Affairs Council Headquarters, where new strategies against Japanese forces were being planned. A finely printed British wartime postcard depicting Chiang in profile, produced as part of Allied propaganda to honor China’s wartime leadership. Lightly toned with minor corner wear.

According to the official Chinese Central News Agency, Col. Chiang Wei-Kuo, the adopted son of Chiang Kai-shek, had arrived in Peiping. Earlier reports had indicated that he was trapped with the army southwest of Suchow. Please view.
